Crestwood/Glen Cove, Houston, Texas

 

Crestwood/Glen Cove is a Houston community made up of the subdivisions of Glen Cove and Crestwood. It is bordered by Memorial Park to the west, Arnot Street to the north, Westcott Street to the east, and Memorial Drive to the south. Crestwood was built on the site of Camp Logan, an army training camp to prepare soldiers for deployment to Europe during World War I. Crestwood/Glen Cove is part of the Washington/Memorial Park Super Neighborhood.

The Crestwood/Glen Cove community is located in the Houston Independent School District. Students are zoned to Memorial Elementary School, Hogg Middle School and Lamar High School. Nearby private schools include The Kincaid School for grades Pre-K through 12, and St. John's School for grades K-12.

The nearest public library is the Looscan Neighborhood Library a seed location of the Houston Public Library system, located in River Oaks. The Kitty King Powell Library and Study Center which is closer than any other library, is an art research facility owned by the Museum of Fine Arts Houston.

Nellie Keyes Park on Lester Street is the site of a community garden.
